For the\nExtreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index\nvalues up to 113 expected.\n\n* WHERE...Eastern Essex, Richmond, Western Essex, Western King\nWilliam, Western King and Queen, and Westmoreland Counties.\n\n* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the\nExtreme Heat Warning, from 10 AM Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during\nextreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high\nhumidity may cause heat illnesses.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.\n\nDo not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car\ninteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.\n\nTake extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose\nfitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning\nor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and\nheat stroke.\n\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments.
