The Air Quality Index\n(AQI) is expected to reach the Purple or Very Unhealthy category.\n\n* WHERE...Portions of Central Minnesota\n\n* WHEN...Until 11 AM CDT Friday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Everyone is more likely to be affected by wildfire\nsmoke in these concentrations. Minor trace amounts of ashfall are\npossible.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dense smoke is being pulled by a quasi-\nstationary front across central Minnesota. Smoke will arrive\nalong the I-94 corridor Wednesday evening. The smoke will have a\nrapid onset with visibility rapidly declining. There will be a\nsharp gradient of smoke, with some areas of the same counties\nexperiencing Good/Green air quality while other experience\nPurple/Very Unhealthy for All conditions as the front slowly\nmoves south. Conditions will gradually improve by Friday morning\nas the front retreats northward.\n\n## Instructions\nSensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including\nasthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, should\nremain indoors and keep activity levels low. The general public\nshould avoid all physical activities outdoors.\n\nReduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution,\nsuch as outdoor burning, and use of residential wood burning\ndevices. Reduce vehicle trips and vehicle idling as much as\npossible.\n\nKeep windows closed overnight to prevent smoke from getting\nindoors."}
