Heaviest rainfall\nexpected from now through about midnight tonight.\n\nRainfall:\n\n* The heaviest rain is ongoing. However, an estimated 1.5 to 2 inches\nof rain have fallen along the Alaska Range and Talkeetna Mountains\nso far today, with about 0.5 to 1 inches in Susitna Valley.\n* Additional rainfall amounts of about 0.5 to 1.5 inches are forecast\nfrom now through tomorrow afternoon.\n* These rainfall totals likely won't be high enough for widespread\nflooding, but smaller tributaries draining the Talkeetnas including\nWillow Creek and the Little Susitna may reach bankfull.\n\nHydrologic Concerns:\n\n* Many lower locations along rivers such as gravel bars and other\nspots popular for camping and recreating may become inundated with\nwater with rivers reaching bankfull conditions.\n\n* Heavy rain may result in localized ponding in low-lying areas and\nlocations with poor drainage.\n\nNext Steps:\n\n* Residents along area streams as well as river users and recreators\nshould anticipate higher than normal water levels and are advised\nto monitor weather and river forecasts.\n\n* Send weather or flooding reports to inws.ncep.noaa.gov/report/ or\nby calling 1-907-266-5127.\n\n* Reports on river conditions may be sent to the river forecast\ncenter by calling 1-907-266-5160."}
