Please listen closely for any Flood Warnings that might\nbe in effect for your area.\n\nPlease check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed\ninformation about additional hazards.\n\n.STORM INFORMATION...\nAt 8 AM ChST, the center of Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located\nnear latitude 12.7N, longitude 151.9E. This was about 480 miles\neast of Guam, or 445 miles east-southeast of Saipan. Storm motion\nwas west, 265 degrees, at 10 mph. Storm intensity was 160 mph.\n\n.SITUATION OVERVIEW...\nIt is too early to provide exact wind and surge forecast values for\nspecific locations. However, close to the center of Super Typhoon\nBavi, there will be a possibility of catastrophic damage\nsomewhere within Guam and the Northern Marianas. Additionally,\nflooding and coastal inundation will also be concerns.\n\n## Instructions\nStay calm and keep informed. Comply with any evacuation orders\nthat are issued for your area. If you live in a metal roof or\ncontainer home, or you live in a surge zone or any location prone\nto flooding, evacuate to a designated shelter or ride out the\nstorm in the sturdy home of family or friends outside of\nevacuation zones.\n\nItems to bring to a shelter include a first aid kit, medicines\nand prescriptions, baby food and diapers, games and books,\ntoiletries, a battery powered radio, a cell phone, flashlights\nwith extra batteries, a blanket or sleeping bag for each person,\npersonal identification, copies of key papers such as insurance\npolicies, available cash and credit cards. Remember, pets are not\nallowed in most public shelters, so check ahead with your\nintended shelter.\n\nRegarding your home or business, cover all windows and doors with\nshutters or plywood. Move patio furniture and other loose objects\nindoors. Brace all exterior doors, including garage doors. Do\nthis as early as possible.\n\nIf you need to make a trip to the hardware store, the grocery\nstore, or the gas station, do so as early as possible."}
