This\nwill pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness.\n\n* WHERE...Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and Washington,\nLower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Washington, Foothills of the\nNorthern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Yakima Valley, and Foothills of\nthe Blue Mountains of Washington.\n\n* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT Thursday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and\npets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any\ncircumstances.\n\nTake extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When\npossible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or\nevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat\nstroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments.
