Maximum sustained\nwinds are 35 mph. 09W is expected to slightly turn toward the west-\nnorthwest and speed up, generally tracking west-northwest through the\ncoming days. Although the time frame is still very uncertain, and Yap\nand Palau are expected to remain well outside of TD 09W's direct\nwind field, surging west to southwest winds around 20 to 25 knots are\nexpected to develop across the region south to southwest of the\nstorm. Models suggest west winds around 15 to 20 knots will begin to\npick up for Yap and Palau late Sunday, peaking sometime early next\nweek with potential to generate choppy, hazardous seas which could\nmake inter-island travel hazardous. As TD 09W develops and begins to\nmove north to northeast of the region, surging west to southwest\nswell looks to develop, which will lead to elevated, and potentially\nhazardous surf in the first half of next week.\n\nFor more information please refer to bulletins from the Joint\nTyphoon Warning Center under WMO header WTPN31 PGTW and from the\nNational Weather Service under WMO header WTPQ31 PGUM."}
