The Air Quality\nIndex (AQI) is expected to reach the Maroon or Hazardous\ncategory.\n\n* WHERE...Northeast Minnesota.\n\n* WHEN...Until 11 AM CDT Monday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Everyone is more likely to be affected.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy smoke is expected to persist across\nmuch of northeastern Minnesota through the weekend and into\nMonday. A separate area of heavy smoke will move across\nnorthwestern Minnesota this morning and afternoon. Northwestern\nMinnesota should see improved air quality by this evening.\nAdditional heavy smoke may move south from Canada this weekend,\nand the air quality alert may need to be extended into east\ncentral and southeastern Minnesota.\n\n## Instructions\nSensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including\nasthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, should\nremain indoors and keep activity levels low. The general public\nshould avoid all physical activities outdoors. Reduce or eliminate\nactivities that contribute to air pollution, such as outdoor\nburning, and use of residential wood burning devices. Reduce\nvehicle trips and vehicle idling as much as possible. Keep windows\nclosed overnight to prevent smoke from getting indoors."}
