The\nAir Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Red or Unhealthy\ncategory.\n\n* WHERE...West central and northwest Minnesota.\n\n* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT Friday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Some members of the general public may experience health\neffects. Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease\n(including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, may\nexperience health effects.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds to 60 mph will create areas of\nblowing dust across western Minnesota. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is\nforecasted to remain in the Red/Unhealthy for All category through\nFriday evening.\n\n## Instructions\nParticle pollution can get deep into the lungs and cause serious\nhealth problems such as asthma attacks, heart and lung disease\nsymptoms, and increased risk of lung infections. Everyone can be\naffected, but sensitive groups such as people with lung or heart\ndisease, older adults, people who are pregnant, children, and those\nwho spend a lot of time outdoors are at greater risk.\n\nBlowing dust/coarse particle pollution may reduce visibility. Consult\nlocal National Weather Service products for information regarding\nvisibility restrictions.\n\nThe health impacts of coarse particle pollution can be reduced by\nutilizing a face covering or mask. Consider utilizing a mask if you\nplan to be outdoors during the alert period.\nKeep windows closed during the alert period to protect indoor air\nquality."}
