For the Heat Advisory,\nheat index values up to 104 expected.\n\n* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania.\n\n* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT Friday. For\nthe Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Friday to 8 PM EDT Saturday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during\nextreme heat and high humidity events.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High temperatures will exceed 100 degrees in\nmany places today, Thursday and Friday with even higher heat index\nvalues expected. Temperatures will be a few degrees lower on\nSaturday, but heat risks will continue.\n\n## Instructions\nKnow the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.\nReview heat safety and preparedness information at\nweather.gov/safety/heat.\n\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments.\n\nPower outages are possible during periods of extended heat as the\nextra demand for electricity can tax the power grid.
