For the Heat Advisory, heat index\nvalues up to 95 expected.\n\n* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southeast, southwest,\nand west central Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.\n\n* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this evening.\nFor the Heat Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 9 PM CDT Thursday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat\nillnesses. Prolonged heat waves lead to cumulative heat stress for\nthose who cannot adequately cool down and recover each night.\nCumulative heat stress significantly increases the risk of heat\nexhaustion and heat stroke as time goes on.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.\n\nDo not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car\ninteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.\n\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments.
