The heavy rainfall and\nassociated runoff will produce significant river rises with the\npotential of minor flooding.\n\n* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.\n\n* WHERE...Including the following area, Northern Inner Channels. This\nincludes the cities of Skagway, White Pass, And Haines.\n\n* WHEN...From late Saturday night through late Sunday night.\n\n* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,\ncreeks, streams, other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...\n- A series of lows will bring a prolonged period of rain combined\nwith warmer temperatures aloft allowing for any precipitation\nfalling into the region to remain as rain. Current thinking is\nthat the rain will continue this evening into Saturday before a\nsecond, stronger system moves in for Saturday into Sunday.\nBetween the two systems, the flow is expected to remain onshore\nkeeping moisture moving into the area.\n\nFor the Skagway area, 24 hour precip looks to get up to 1 to 2\ninches this weekend while the storm total amounts could be 2 to 4\ninches. The Haines area is expected to see 0.75 to 1.5 inches in\n24 hours while a storm total precipitation of 2 to 3.5 inches is\npossible.\n\n## Instructions\nStay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio,\ntelevision, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.\n\nPersons living along streams should stay alert and be prepared to\ntake action if a warning or advisory is issued, or flooding is\nobserved.\n\nYou should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood\nWarnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared\nto take action should flooding develop."}
