Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have\nfallen. Flash flooding will continue, and it will take some time for\nflood waters to subside.\n\nHAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing\nflash flooding.\n\nSOURCE...Emergency management reported.\n\nIMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban\nareas, highways, streets and underpasses.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nGallup, Church Rock, Vanderwagen, Yah-Ta-Hey, Rock Springs, Red\nRock State Park, Allison, Red Rock, Gamerco and Mentmore.\n\nThis includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 16 and 33.\n\n## Instructions\nTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood\ndeaths occur in vehicles.\n\nArroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer\ncurrents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many\nmiles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.\n\nDo not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth."}
