Between\n0.50 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen over the western portions of\nthe burn scar, with up to 1.5 inches along Highway 503 southwest of\nCundiyo. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.50 inches are possible\nin the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin\nshortly.\n\nExcessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact the Rio Frijoles,\nRio Medio and Chimayo Creek as well as Camino del Canon, County Road\n127 and Camino del Molino. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,\nvegetation and other loose materials. Flooding will also impact\nCundiyo and Highway 503.\n\nHAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing\nflash flooding in and around the Frijoles Burn Scar.\n\nSOURCE...Radar indicated.\n\nIMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the\nFrijoles Burn Scar.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nChimayo, Cundiyo, Rio Chiquito, Nambe Pueblo, Nambe Lake and\nCordova.\n\n## Instructions\nThis is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause\nextensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches in\nthe Frijoles Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated\nacross roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If\nyou encounter flood waters, climb to safety."}
