Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.\nAdditional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the\nwarned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.\n\nExcessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Fence Canyon, Snow\nCanyon, Bear Canyon and Turkey Spring Canyon as well as Highway 70\nand the Rio Ruidoso through Ruidoso Downs. Impacts may also occur\ndownstream of Ruidoso Downs along the Rio Ruidoso. The debris flow\ncan consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.\n\nHAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash\nflooding in and around the Salt Burn Scar.\n\nSOURCE...Emergency management reported.\n\nIMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the\nSalt Burn Scar.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nRuidoso Downs, Glencoe and Hollywood.\n\n## Instructions\nThis is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause\nextensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches in\nthe Salt Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated\nacross roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If\nyou encounter flood waters, climb to safety."}
