Between 1.0 and 2.5 inches of rain have\nfallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour.\nAdditional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in\nthe warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin\nshortly.\n\nHAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.\n\nSOURCE...Radar indicated.\n\nIMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,\nhighways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor\ndrainage and low-lying areas.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nMainly rural areas of Northeastern Socorro and Southwestern\nTorrance Counties.\n\nThis also includes the Patterson Draw, Chupadera Arroyo, and other\nwashes on the Sierra Larga, as well as county roads B-121 and B-127.\n\n## Instructions\nTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood\ndeaths occur in vehicles.\n\nArroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer\ncurrents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many\nmiles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas."}
