Locally higher heat indices above 108 degrees are\nlikely during the afternoon hours, especially in areas influenced\nby the urban heat island. The heat will become dangerous as early\nas the late morning hours. If spending time outdoors, please drink\nplenty of water and wear light colored clothing. Do not leave\nchildren or pets in vehicles. Know the signs of heat related\nillnesses. If the pavement is too hot for your feet, it is too\nhot for your pet's paws."}
