River Watch aerial reconnaissance noted water\nhas already started inundating surrounding low-level areas\nnear the community. Aerial reconnaissance also noted that\nthere are several spots of open water in the upper portion of\nthe Kuskokuak Channel, as well as downstream beyond the Y.\nUntil the ice shifts or moves, residents should prepare for\ncontinued rising water levels, particularly in flood-prone\nlower areas.\n\nAkiak and Tuluksak: Original ice still in place which may\ncause flooding as the breakup front moves downstream from\nKalskag.\n\nIce jams have been observed at/near Tuluksak, a few around\nAkiak, and near Bethel, with a decaying jam near Napaskiak\ndownriver.
