## Narrative

An employee
was doing maintenance on a piece of equipment that was shut down. He grabbed the motor's damper/pulley belt and pulled the belt toward himself. This caused the damper/pulley to rotate, pinning his right-hand thumb between the damper/pulley and the belt. As a result, the top part of his right-hand thumb (approximately 1/8" to 3/16") was amputated.
