An employee was reviewing blueprints at a work table in the assembly hall when a coworker bumped a piece of angle iron weighing approximately 24 pounds off the table. The angle iron fell on the employee's steel-toe boot, fracturing his left pinky toe. The injury became infected and the toe had to be surgically amputated.
