## Narrative

Employees were removing an air compressor from service. When the air hose was released, pressure still in the line caused the coupling to fail and propel the hose downward. It struck an employee's lower right leg and hand, breaking the leg and the thumb. The employee was hospitalized, requiring surgery to the leg.
