On June 30, 2004, Region III filed an Administrative Complaint and Notice of Opportunity for Hearing against Yellow Cab Company of D.C., Inc. pursuant to Section 9006(a) and (d) of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (���RCRA���), to address violations of RCRA Subtitle I, and the District of Colombia���s Underground Storage Tank (���UST���) program, at Yellow Cab���s facility located at 1636 Bladensburg Road, N.E., Washington, D.C. The Complaint alleges, inter alia, that Respondent failed to provide corrosion protection on metal piping that routinely contained regulated substances: provide release detection on its USTs���; and maintain financial responsibility for corrective action and for compensating third parties for bodily injury and property damage caused by accidental releases arising from the operation of petroleum USTs. The Complaint seeks the assessment of a civil penalty in the amount of $58,826.
