This regulation establishes a tolerance for residues of pymetrozine 1,2,4-triazin-3(2H)-one,4,5-dihydro-6-methyl-4-[(3- pyridinylmethylene)amino] in or on cucurbit vegetables (Crop Group 8) at 0.05 parts per million (ppm) and fruiting vegetables (Crop Group 9) at 0.05 ppm. Novartis Crop Protection, Inc. of Greensboro, NC 27419 requested this tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA).
