Abstract

This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for residues of spinosad in or on alfalfa forage, alfalfa hay, sugar beets, sugar beet tops, sugar beet molasses, grass forage, grass hay, peanuts, and peanut hay and, modifies tolerances for livestock commodities on a time-limited basis. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act authorizing use of the pesticide on alfalfa, sugar beets, pastureland and rangeland, and peanuts. This regulation establishes maximum permissible levels for residues of spinosad on these food commodities. These tolerances will expire and are revoked on December 31, 2002.
