This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances of 0.08 part per million (ppm) for residues of aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG), in or on apples and pears. Valent BioSciences Corporation requested these tolerances under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. The tolerances will expire on December 21, 2003.
