This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for combined residues of sulfentrazone, N-[2,4-dichloro-5-[4- (difluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1- yl]phenyl]methanesulfonamide, and its metabolites 3-hydroxymethyl sulfentrazone (HMS) and 3-desmethyl sulfentrazone (DMS) in or on chickpea seed, dried pea seed, and strawberry. This action is in response to EPA's granting of emergency exemptions under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act authorizing use of the pesticide on chickpea, dried pea, and strawberry. This regulation establishes a maximum permissible level for combined residues of sulfentrazone in these food commodities. These tolerances will expire and are revoked on December 31, 2004.
