This regulation establishes a tolerance for residues of the insecticide, pyriproxyfen [2-[1-methyl-2-(4- phenoxyphenoxy)ethoxy]pyridine] in or on all food items in food handling establishments where food and food products are held, processed and/or prepared at 0.1 ppm. McLaughlin Gormley King Company requested this tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996.
