This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for residues of mesotrione, 2-[4-(methylsulfonyl)-2-nitrobenzoyl]-1,3- cyclohexanedione, in or on sweet corn and sweet corn forage and stover. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of the pesticide on sweet corn. This regulation establishes maximum permissible levels for residues of mesotrione in these food commodities. The tolerances will expire and are revoked on June 30, 2004.
