Abstract
EPA is approving a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of West Virginia. This revision amends West Virginia's ten-year plan to maintain the national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) for ozone in the Huntington-Ashland area (the maintenance plan). The intended effect of this action is to approve amendments to the maintenance plan that implement contingency measures in response to recorded violations of the 1-hour ozone NAAQS, and that revise the motor vehicle emission sub-regional budgets for the West Virginia counties (Cabell and Wayne) that are located in the Huntington-Ashland area. This action is being taken under the Clean Air Act (the Act).
