Abstract

This regulation establishes time-limited exemptions from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of thymol and eucalyptus oil on honey and honeycomb. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of these pesticides in beehives. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of thymol and eucalyptus oil in or on honey and honeycomb. These time-limited exemptions from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the thymol and eucalyptus oil will expire and are revoked on June 30, 2005.
