Abstract
EPA is taking direct final action to approve revisions to the Butte County Air Quality Management District (BCAQMD) and Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) portions of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP). These revisions concern volatile organic compound (VOC), oxides of nitrogen (NO<INF>X</INF>), and particulate matter (PM) emissions from residential wood burning devices. We are approving local rules that regulate these emission sources under the Clean Air Act (CAA or the Act).
