Abstract

This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), [alpha]-(3- carboxy-1-oxosulfopropyl)-[omega]-hydroxy-, (C<INF>10</INF>- C<INF>16</INF>) alkyl ethers, disodium salts when used as an inert ingredient (surfactant) in pesticide formulations applied to growing crops (seed treatment use only) under 40 CFR 180.920 at a concentration not to exceed 0.125% by weight. BASF submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting the establishment of an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), [alpha]-(3-carboxy-1- oxosulfopropyl)-[omega]-hydroxy-, (C<INF>10</INF>-C<INF>16</INF>) alkyl ethers, disodium salts.
