Abstract

This regulation amends an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of [alpha]-alkyl-[omega]-hydroxypoly (oxypropylene) and/or poly (oxyethylene) polymers where the alkyl chain contains a minimum of six carbons, and [alpha] alkyl-[omega]- hydroxypoly (oxypropylene) and/or poly (oxyethylene) polymers where the alkyl chain contains a minimum of six carbons and a minimum number average molecular weight (in amu) 1,100 (herein referred to as "AAAs" (alkyl alcohol alkoxylates)) to include alcohols, C<INF>>14</INF>, ethoxylated, Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number (CAS Reg. No.) 251553-55-6 when used as an inert ingredient (surfactant) in pesticide formulations. Baker Petrolite LLC submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting an amendment to an existing exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of alcohols, C<INF>>14</INF>, ethoxylated.
