This rule establishes a time-limited tolerance, to expire on September 30, 1997, for residues of the herbicide pyrithiobac sodium salt (sodium 2-chloro-6-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)thio]benzoate) in or on the raw agricultural commodity cottonseed at 0.02 part per million (ppm). E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., Inc., submitted a petition pursuant to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requesting the regulation to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of the herbicide in or on the commodity.
