Abstract
EPA is approving a revision to the Virginia State Implementation Plan (SIP) which pertains to the 1990 base year ozone emission inventory for the Northern Virginia nonattainment area. This area was classified by EPA as serious for ozone. The SIP was submitted by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) for the purpose of establishing the 1990 baseline emissions contributing to ozone nonattainment problems in Northern Virginia. This action is being taken under section 110 of the Clean Air Act.
