This rule establishes a tolerance for residues of the insecticide benzoic acid (3,5-dimethyl-1-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2-(4- ethylbenzoyl) hydrazide), in or on the raw agricultural commodity apples. The regulation to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of the insecticide was requested in a petition submitted by the Rohm and Haas Co.
