Abstract

This regulation establishes tolerances for residues of the fungicide azoxystrobin (CAS Reg. No. 131860-33-8 and PC Code 128810) and its Z-isomer in or on the raw agricultural commodities bananas, grapes, peaches, peanuts, pecans, and tomatoes, and the processed foods peanut oil and tomato paste. Zeneca Ag Products submitted three petitions to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (Pub. L. 104-170) requesting the tolerances. Azoxystrobin has been processed as a reduced risk pesticide for its uses in/on bananas, grapes, peaches, peanuts, and tomatoes. DATES: This regulation became effective on June 3, 1997. Written objections and requests for hearings must be received on or before September 8, 1997.
