This regulation establishes a time-limited tolerance for residues of the insecticidal fluorine compounds cryolite and/or synthetic cryolite (sodium aluminum fluoride) in or on the raw agricultural commodity (RAC) potatoes and in the processed animal feed commodity, potato waste. A petition requesting these tolerances was submitted by The Cryolite Task Force under the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (Pub. L. 104-170). The tolerance will expire on November 21, 2001.
