This rule establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of canola oil, i.e., low erucic acid rapeseed oil (containing no more than 2% erucic acid), when used as an insecticide in or on all food commodities. W. Neudorff GmbH KG submitted a petition to the EPA under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) of 1996 requesting the exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of this insecticide in or on all food commodities.
