Technical Amendments to Cyclohexanecarbonitrile, 1,3,3-trimethyl- 5-oxo; Revocation of a Significant New Use Rule; Correction of Effective Date Under Congressional Review Act (CRA)

On June 27, 1996 (61 FR 33373), the Environmental Protection Agency published in the Federal Register a final rule revoking a significant new use rule promulgated under section 5(a)(2) of the Toxic Substances Control Act for cyclohexanecarbonitrile, 1,3,3-trimethyl-5- oxo- based on receipt of new data, which established an effective date of July 29, 1996. This document corrects the effective date of the rule to February 10, 1998, to be consistent with sections 801 and 808 of the Congressional Review Act (CRA), enacted as part of the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act, 5 U.S.C. 801 and 808.
