Abstract

EPA is granting conditional limited approval of a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Maryland. This revision establishes and requires all major sources of nitrogen oxides (NO<INF>X</INF>) to implement reasonably available control technology (RACT). This revision was submitted to comply with the NO<INF>X</INF> requirements of the Clean Air Act (the Act). Also, Maryland's regulations are being revised by adding and amending definitions. The intended effect of this action is to grant conditional limited approval of Maryland's NO<INF>X</INF> RACT regulation and to approve the new and revised definitions submitted by the State of Maryland.
