This regulation establishes a time-limited tolerance for the combined residues of lambda-cyhalothrin and its epimer in or on flax, barley, canola, and sugarcane. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act authorizing use of the pesticide on flax, barley, canola, and sugarcane. This regulation establishes maximum permissible levels for residues of lambda- cyhalothrin in these food commodities pursuant to section 408(l)(6) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. These tolerances will expire and are revoked on December 31, 2000. DATES: This regulation is effective January 29, 1999.
