Approval and Promulgation of State Implementation Plan: Alaska

Due to a correction and clarification, EPA is withdrawing the direct final rule for the approval of various amendments to the carbon monoxide (CO) State Implementation Plan for Alaska. The original action was published in the Federal Register on September 1, 1999 (64 FR 47674), as a direct final rule. EPA will correct and clarify its approval of Alaska's transportation conformity program. As stated in the Federal Register document, if the direct final rule is withdrawn, timely notice of withdrawal would be published in the Federal Register. EPA is withdrawing the direct final rule and will address the correction and clarification when it republishes the direct final action in the near future. Another public comment period will be offered when it is republished.
