This regulation establishes a time-limited tolerance for residues of flumioxazin, 2-[7-fluoro-3,4-dihydro-3-oxo-4-(2-propynyl)- 2H-1,4-benzoxazin-6-yl]-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-isoindole-1,3(2H)-dione in or on alfalfa forage and alfalfa hay. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) authorizing use of the pesticide on alfalfa. This regulation establishes a maximum permissible level for residues of flumioxazin in this food commodity. The tolerance expires and is revoked on December 31, 2009.
