Abstract

This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the ammonium soap salts of higher fatty acids (C<INF>8-</INF>C<INF>18</INF> saturated; C<INF>8-</INF>C<INF>12</INF> unsaturated) in or on all food commodities when applied for the suppression and control of a wide variety of grasses and weeds. Falcon Lab, LLC submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA), requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of ammonium soap salts of higher fatty acids (C<INF>8-</INF>C<INF>18</INF> saturated; C<INF>8-</INF>C<INF>12</INF> unsaturated).
