Abstract

Project Summary/Abstract This proposal outlines the development of new chemical methods for cross-coupling reactions for formation of strained rings and in domino reactions. The objectives of this project are to generate new strategies for stereoselective coupling reactions, including stereospecific and stereoconvergent reactions. Reactions will be triggered such that typically sluggish functional groups, including alkyl alcohol derivatives, will participate. The development of these reactions will directly impact the development of new pharmaceutical agents by providing new strategies for their preparation.
