We recommend the Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection periodically assess and document requirements to review and update related policies and procedures to:1. clearly define at-risk populations;2. establish set times for frequency of welfare checks;3. ensure completion of medical assessments for all juveniles; and4 ensure rescreening of migrants after detainment exceeds guidelines.
