There was an abnormal smoke odor and also a burning rubber odor. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed him that oil was leaking into the engine and onto the alternator. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that the mechanic was unable to repair the vehicle until May 2022. The manufacturer was not contacted and informed of the failure.
