The valve over eventually leaks oil that drips down on to the alternator. This cause the electrical system to fail, the battery and brake lights come on. Then slowly all lights come on as battery shuts down. This is a known issue with this engine. This happened to me yesterday while driving at night leaving the car unable to drive. When the battery completely shuts down you cannot even move the vehicle out of Park, as electric is needed to disengage the the shifter from park, so you cannot even push the vehicle off of the road. Hyundai has a recall for the exact same engine in the Veracruz.
