The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH and slowing for a traffic light she depressed the brake pedal, the vehicle did not slow and she crashed into the rear end of the vehicle in front of her. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The damage was mild and both vehicles were able to drive away, there were no injuries. The police were on the scene, however, the contact is not sure if a report had been written. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic prior to the crash, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rotors and brakes in both the front and rear of the vehicle needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The contact stated that she was hearing an abnormal squealing noise when she depresses the brake pedal. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,452.
