The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated his Godson was driving the vehicle 20 mph when he proceeded to apply the brake pedal, however, the brakes did not engage The vehicle crashed into a wall coming to a complete stop. The brake warning light illuminated after the impact, but the air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries and no police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. No diagnosis was made, however, the hydraulic control unit was evaluated and the brakes were bleed, no parts were replaced. The contact stated the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulics). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA.
